Plans change — this policy explains how to cancel and how refunds work. The cancellation terms for your booking (including whether your rate is refundable, any deadline and any charge) are shown with your rate when you book and in your booking confirmation. Those terms apply to your booking.
How to cancel
- Sign in to your guest account and request a cancellation for the booking, or
- Email info@darrelparadise.co.ke or call +254 700 477 045 / +254 736 350 599 with your booking reference.
We will confirm your cancellation in writing. The time we receive your request is the time used to apply your rate’s cancellation terms.
Refundable and non-refundable rates
- Refundable rates: if you cancel within the terms shown for your rate, we refund the amount stated in those terms.
- Non-refundable rates: these are usually offered at a lower price and payments are not refunded if you cancel, change or do not arrive, except where the law requires otherwise.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the original payment method through our payment provider, or by bank transfer where that is how you paid. Once we have approved a refund, the time it takes to reach you depends on your bank or mobile-money provider. You will receive a confirmation and an updated receipt or credit note.
No-shows and early departure
If you do not arrive and have not cancelled, the booking may be treated as a no-show and the room released; the charge stated in your rate’s terms applies. If you leave early, unused nights are charged according to the same terms unless we agree otherwise.
Changes
Instead of cancelling, you can ask to change your dates. Changes depend on availability and may change the price.
If we have to cancel
In the unlikely event that we must cancel your booking, we will tell you as soon as possible, offer an alternative where we can, and refund any amount you have paid for the cancelled services.
Events and conferences
Cancellation terms for events, weddings and conferences are set out in your quotation or invoice. Please speak to our events team as early as possible if your plans change.
